$97,614.40 pro-rata per annum (including Port Hedland Allowance)
Fixed term 12 month contract

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate initiative, have the ability to work within and contribute towards team success in the position of Heavy Diesel Mechanic at the Town of Port Hedland in Western Australia.
Port Hedland is a town of rich heritage, spectacular landscapes, friendliness, a diverse and embracing community and relaxed lifestyle. As the largest bulk export port in the world, the town is home to global resource leaders and is signiﬁcant to the national interest.
This is a unique opportunity to bring your previous experience and qualifications to provide a quality and timely mechanical servicing to all business units within the Town of Port Hedland. The role will also be supporting the Depot Operations with repair and maintenance of heavy diesel plant and equipment within the Town.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role with the ability to foster and develop an evolving team, will have strong leadership and team building skills and will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in the following areas: mechanical systems for light plants, larger trucks and heavy earthmoving equipment, knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a field and will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Current ‘HR’ class manual driver’s license
- Mechanical trade qualification
- White Card
- Forklift ticket
