About the role

Based in Port Hedland; reporting to the Asset Manager

To implement the asset management plans within the region to deliver safe, reliable and quality power supply.
Ensure distribution network assets are designed in line with agreed standards and processes.
Plan, issue and monitor construction work packages to support effective and efficient works delivery within approved budgets.

The key aspects of the role are:
Deliver agreed regional outcomes for Safety, Reliability, Governance and Operational budgets.
Deliver Contractor performance that is aligned with divisional and corporate performance objectives.
Prepare Requests for Tenders and Quotes in accordance with the Procurement Framework.
Manage designs for Customer funded, internally funded and maintenance works in accordance with HP’s processes.
Maintain asset data (Ellipse/Electric Office) supporting divisional requirements.
Undertake quality assurance checks in accordance with QA requirements
Participate in Cyclone management, preparation and response
Actively participate in Safety Meetings
Report all hazards and incidents
Any other tasks as required
Regionally based role, some travel may be required

In addition to sharing our passion, to be successful in this role you will have:

A Degree in Electrical Engineering
A. drivers license class “C”.
Blue/White Card (Worksafe Construction Safety Awareness Training Course)
Current First Aid Certificate
Sound knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
Sound knowledge of network construction, maintenance and operations field practices and procedures.
Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling
MS Office systems: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Construction work in an electrical environment.
Budgeting and cost controls

Desired knowledge:
Electrical distribution network design
Horizon Power systems: (Ellipse/Electric Office)
